2 Resorts by Kata Group won awards for outstanding environment management

With an aim to foster mutual understanding about environment, “Green Hotel” is one of the most prestigious awards organized annually to create awareness for the use of natural resources among business sectors.

Kata Group Resort, Thailand’s number one hotel and resort management group in the southern part of Thailand, has announced its achievement of two hotels in their portfolio, “Phuket Orchid Resort & Spa” and “Beyond Resort Khaolak” after winning “Green Hotel” award on a “Gold Class” level, presented by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. This accomplishment truly embodies the vision of Kata Group for their commitment in environmental issue as well as excellent hospitality.

With an aim to foster mutual understanding about environment, “Green Hotel” is one of the most prestigious awards organized annually to create awareness for the use of natural resources among business sectors. Evaluation criteria is classified into three degrees of succuess, Bronze Class (score between 60-70%), Silver Class (70-80%), and Gold Class (over 80%).

“Beyond Resort Kaolak”, a luxury resort for guests aged over 12 years old, is located on the stunning Pakweep Beach, a serene and romantic beach of Pang Nga province. The hotel has won multiple world-class awards, including environmental award, asserting its ongoing commitment to environmental management and efficient use of natural resources. With its environmental-friendly service, the community-focused hotel has been able to maintain its excellent international standard.

“Phuket Orchid Resort & Spa”, a family-friendly destination with magnificent waterpark and tremendous slide at the heart of the resort, has been committed to strict environmental policy, operating on the highest environmental and energy saving standards. Series of ‘green’ programs are being carried out, include recycling of wastewater, reducing waste, and replacing plastic straws with natural materials. The resort also supports sustainable tourism and actively takes part in local community.
