Japan Rail Planner launches

An innovative new travel planning tool is now available for tourists using Japan Rail passes

Tokyo, Japan – Jack Cowell and Jack MacHugh, co-founders of Interrail Planner and Eurail Planner, recently launched Japan Rail Planner, aimed at those who wish to travel around Japan using the JR Pass.

Japan Rail Planner enables travellers to create a route on a map, plan their itinerary, estimate trip costs, and search for accommodation on popular aggregators such as Hostelworld, Airbnb and Booking.com.

JR Passes can also be obtained via Japan Rail Planner thanks to an arrangement with jrailpass.com, an official JR pass vendor.

According to MacHugh, “If you want to book everything in one go, you can also choose to book your trip as a package – Japan Rail Planner has a partnership with Euroventure, who have also just launched holiday packages for rail trips around Japan.”

The co-founders hoped that Japan Rail Planner will make it easier than ever to hop on a shinkansen and travel around Japan with a JR pass, enabling more prospective visitors to turn their plans into a reality and experience the wonderful place that is Japan.
